This page is maintained by the PalCodex team to answer common privacy questions about the PalCodex companion app. It describes the app's current practices as of the date below.
Overview
PalCodex is a fan-made Palworld companion app. We built it to put public game reference data — Pals, skills, tech tree, breeding combos, map markers, and expeditions — in one fast, offline-ready place. We do not require an account to use the app and we do not knowingly collect personal information from players.
PalCodex is not affiliated with Pocketpair or Palworld. All game names, images, and data belong to their respective owners.
Information we collect
The current version of PalCodex does not ask you to create an account and does not collect personal data such as your name, email address, or Palworld credentials.
- Local preferences only. Settings like favorite Pals, tech-tree unlocks, and calculator inputs are stored on your device via your browser's localStorage. We do not receive a copy.
- Public reference data. When you open a page, the app fetches game data from our backend. These requests are anonymous and contain no account or device identifiers.
Hosting and backend
PalCodex is hosted on Lovable Cloud, which uses Supabase for data storage and edge delivery. This gives us a reliable, globally distributed backend for serving the public game database.
Lovable platform capabilities are described factually here; they are not a certification or guarantee of compliance. Security and availability are a shared responsibility: Lovable provides the hosting infrastructure, while the PalCodex team manages the app code, data imports, and public content.
Cookies and analytics
PalCodex does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run third-party analytics scripts. The only cookies or local storage entries you may see are those required by the hosting platform or used by your browser to remember in-app preferences.
Data retention and deletion
Because we do not collect personal information, there is no account data to retain or delete. Any preferences saved on your device can be cleared by deleting the app's localStorage/site data in your browser or mobile OS settings.
